Die unsichtbare Last (Buch)

Über die Jahre habe ich immer wieder einige Kurzgeschichten geschrieben, Träume und Visionen auf meinem Blog veröffentlicht. Seit einiger Zeit spiele ich mit dem Gedanken, diese in einem kleinen Buchband zu veröffentlichen. Jede Episode sollte mit einer eigenen Illustration versehen werden. Es hat eine Weile gedauert, bis ich alle Strichzeichnungen fertig hatte.

Im Gebetshaus München beten wir jede Woche für die Themen „Identität“ und „Kunst & Kreativität“. Hier hat Theresa die Gebetsstunden immer wieder durch ihre spontanen Texte bereichert. Das bewegte mich, sie zu fragen, ob sie solche Texte zu meinem Buch beitragen könnte. Zuerst hielt ich diesen Impuls als verrückt und abwegig. Texte über Texte? Machen die sich nicht gegenseitig Konkurrenz?

Jetzt wo alle Texte vorliegen, bin ich begeistert über das Ergebnis! Die Gedichte von Theresa Conrady geben meinen schon bewegenden Geschichten eine neue Tiefe und beleuchten die Aussagen von einer anderen Perspektive. Ich bin begeistert!

I found it so beautiful that we are carried by God in a dark and challenging time, so I created this picture. No matter how dark it is in our lives, there is always hope that Jesus is our light and salvation.

Letzte Exemplare des Osterbilderbuches

Vor 8 Jahren habe ich zusammen mit einer Freundin der Autorin Anita Krenn aus Österreich ein Bilderbuch herausgebracht. Kurz gesagt: Der Osterhase trifft Jesus. Es sind noch wenige Exemplare übrig, die wir gerne dieses Jahr noch verkaufen wollen.

Hintergrundinfos
Minz, der neuerwählte Osterhase muss dieses Jahr das ganze Geschäft alleine bewältigen. Irgendwie wird ihm das aber zu viel und reißt aus. Unterwegs trifft er auf einen Mann auf einer Parkbank mit dem er sich über die Bedeutung von Ostern unterhält.

New commission: The gateway to the unknown

I am very pleased to be able to present another finished commissioned painting to you today. This prophetic painting was the customer's third picture and she was very enthusiastic each time.

I have added the following impression to the painting:

When I prayed for you, I saw a large open gate in a tower that belonged to a fortress or fortified city. Somehow it reminded me of oriental buildings, like from 1001 Nights. They were beautiful and richly decorated. Inside the fortress, it was bright, warm, safe and cozy. Outside it was dark and gloomy and felt threatening... But there was a strong call from Jesus to you: “Come out, out into the open, out of the city, out of the gate!” Jesus is calling you out to go with Him into the distance into the unknown. You felt uneasy, because you loved the place inside the fortress, the outside was so dark, uncertain and threatening!

But Jesus' call was clear and very strong. He is really calling you out. But He also assures you that He will go with you, that He will be with you. You are not alone! And who knows, maybe you will actually enjoy being out there with Him and relying on Him completely? Who knows? You'll only find out when you go out there!

Once again, I am totally touched and grateful. The picture is beautiful and it fits 100 percent again. I've been facing a big life decision for some time now, I hear God calling me, but it scares me at the same time. 

Your picture therefore encourages me very much to take this step and I will do so, trusting in God. 

A little addendum: The door in your picture reminds me a lot of the doors in my apartment. I don't have “normal doors”, but doors with a beautiful round arch. The walls are also brick. That's why I've always jokingly called my apartment a “princess” apartment. 

It goes so well with your painting. But now it's time to leave the familiar behind me and take new steps.

Ich bin sehr froh, dass ich euch heute meinen ersten öffentlichen Workshop über meine Kunst vorstellen kann:

In diesem zweiteiligen Workshop möchte ich euch in meine spezielle Technik hineinnehmen, wie ich mit meinen Künstleraquarellstiften (Buntststiften) prophetische Kunst erstelle.
Der Workshop wird aufgezeichnet. Solltet ihr an einem der Abende verhindert sein, so ist dieser Kurs trotzdem etwas für euch. Ich werde zusammen mit euch live Schritt für Schritt nach Vorgabe ein prophetisches Bild erstellen.

Der Workshop ist auf 12 Teilnehmer beschränkt, damit ich mich jedem Teilnehmer ausreichend widmen kann.

JockyArt – Kunstbuch 01 in German now at amazon

JockyArt - Kunstbuch 01 (Softcover)

Some time ago I had my first art book printed with 22 of my prophetic pictures. Now I have published the slightly modified softcover version on amazon. I fixed some typos, changed the title and replaced an image. Unfortunately, the crease in the middle of the hardcover book was so ugly that you can't see the full beauty of the image, which stretches across a double page. That's why I swapped it with another one.

The softcover version of the book is part of amazon's KDP (Kindle Desktop Publishing) program. It is a variant of print on demand, where the book is only printed when someone orders a copy. The advantage is that you are not stuck with a print run that may be too large, which nobody then buys and you have to store the books somewhere.

Commissioned painting: The new spiritual glasses

Today I'm presenting a new commissioned painting that I've finally been able to complete. It took me a little longer to create a preliminary study in my sketchbook because I didn't know exactly how to realize the painting creatively.

I have already received very positive feedback from the client. Here is the text I wrote to him about the picture:

When I prayed for you, I had the impression that Jesus wanted to give you a new pair of spiritual glasses, almost like night-vision goggles. With your normal eyes, you can only see the perhaps disturbing events in the world and in yourself, which may even frighten you. But Jesus wants to give you a pair of glasses with which you can see into the spiritual reality, i.e. recognize God's perspective. You can suddenly see light, love and hope in a dark world. Jesus wants to show you His view of things. He wants to lead and guide you. He wants to show you where to go, where you should go, at what pace, when it is time to move on, when you should stop and take a break, He wants to warn you of dangers, show you when and where there are divine moments that you might miss.

Now, of course, you have to accept these glasses and say YES to them. And, of course, to put them on again and again, i.e. to decide again and again for God's perspective and to tear your gaze away from those things in the world that want to frighten you. Jesus wants to teach you how to use these glasses, how to deal with what you see through them! Enjoy your new glasses and the picture.
