New diorama "Ramsau" available in the shop now

Diorama: Ramsau

I am currently trying new things in my art. Recently I already created a ► diorama of the ► deer jump (Hirschsprung) created from my home region. Now my next one is finished and can be bought in the shop.

During my time at the Munich YMCA I was regularly in Berchtesgarden over Easter. A beautiful area. I intend to create a group of 3 dioramas from the Berchtesgardener Land. The first depicts the beautiful village of “Ramsau (Berchtesgardener Land)”. A motif that is known from many calendars and paintings.

More dioramas are planned from Watzmann and from Königssee .

Cool workshop about spontaneous art

For some time I have been part of a creative group CreateART+ in the German-speaking area that wants to network and encourage Christian artists. We meet monthly via Zoom to share testimonies and report on how we are doing.

Internally we hold workshops from time to time. So this week there was a workshop that was supposed to help us create creative art spontaneously. This workshop was very cool because it gave me new ideas. I suddenly felt like painting over the artist's watercolor pencils I used for the exercise. The result was a very cool effect that I would now like to use more often. Here my results:

Hirschsprung (deer jump ) Diorama photographed at the original location

Hirschsprung

Last week I used the Bavarian public holiday to visit my parents for over a week. I took the opportunity to work in the home office for 2 days. This week it was mostly very hot and bright weather.

I had brought my diorama from the deer jump (Hirschsprung) with me to photograph it at the location that served as a template for me.

The Höllental (valley of hell)is a deep V-shaped valley in the Franconian Forest. The valley, which is a nature reserve, is beautiful. The village of Hölle (hell) is at the entrance to the valley, at the end of which there used to be the zone border. The barbed wire fence, with the watchtowers and the self-firing systems. Luckily that's all history.

My twin sister and my father accompanied me. Already when we left, the sky was turning dark with mighty clouds: A thunderstorm was announced! Since the descent was quite steep and poorly developed, it was not without its dangers. So we had to hurry.
