My Art as a Puzzle: A Special Experience for Your Home

JockyArt - Puzzle

In addition to a ► Memory game featuring my art, I’ve now also tried out a jigsaw puzzle with one of my pictures. You can choose how many pieces the puzzle should have. I tried 200 pieces.

It was a bit of a challenge to finish the puzzle because the colors were so similar. It probably wouldn't be a challenge for experienced puzzlers. I haven't done a puzzle in a long time myself.

If you’d like a puzzle, just let me know which of my pictures you’d like as a puzzle. Simply order the puzzle with the desired number of pieces and let me know the desired drawing. I’ll then order the puzzle from the manufacturer, and it will be shipped directly to you from the manufacturer.

Good Friday: For you! For you! For you!

Since today is Good Friday, I’ve decided to post an excerpt from my book ► (The book is only in German) The Invisible Burden. It is a moving dream about the Father’s love, what it cost Him to tear His Son from His side and let Him die a cruel death:

What have they done to my son?

Preliminary Note

On the night of March 31, 2007, I had another rather unusual experience. Yes, you could call it a dream. I’ll try to describe it, though it’s not that easy.

It all started when I dreamed that I was reading a book by Geri Keller about God’s fatherly love. It was more of a small paperback, illustrated with copperplate engravings; the text sometimes flowed into these drawings (the “Prophetic Bulletin,” published by the Schleife Foundation, is often illustrated with such engravings). Today I know that there is indeed a book by Geri Keller about God’s fatherly love. It has the simple title: FATHER.).

As I was reading, two things struck me—they were like two key points that stood out to me. But I’ve forgotten both of them. For some reason, I got stuck on an illustration. I stared at that image for quite a while until I finally realized what I was seeing.

The portrayal of the Father in this dream is quite unusual. Normally, we are familiar with crucifixion scenes featuring only the women and Jesus’ friends, who take his body down from the cross while weeping bitterly. Here, however, we get a glimpse into the Father’s heart. He did not stand by indifferently, look away, or remain aloof from the events because, as God, they did not affect him. No, the Father’s heart was torn apart as well. An important dream for all who struggle to believe in God’s fatherly love…

At first glance, it seemed to be just one of the many depictions in which women take Jesus down from the cross after his death and mourn and weep for him… A simple altarpiece that hung in a church.

Spontaneous commissioned artwork: The Lord of Breakthroughs

As I mentioned in the ► last post, after my creative workshop with the Methodists, I was commissioned to create a spontaneous artwork for the speaker of the Encouragement Days and his congregation.

If you like the image or find it appealing, feel free to order a ►print of it.
Feel free to contact me about it. You can order your own custom artwork here:

I wrote the following message to the speaker of the Encouragement Days and his congregation:

Dear […],

During the days of encouragement at the EMK Erlöserkirche in Munich, […] asked me to pray for you and to share a spontaneous, prophetic vision during the evening worship service.

As I was seeking God on your behalf, the first image that came to mind was that of a battering ram. I have the impression that Jesus now wants to grant you breakthroughs in areas where progress has been stalled for a long time. I believe this will affect several areas and that it involves more than just a few answered prayers here and there or minor improvements. No, I think it’s about things where there used to be an impenetrable wall, where nothing was possible. And suddenly, there is now a passageway. Things are becoming possible that were previously unthinkable.

Just as it says in Micah 2:13:
“The one who breaks through will go up before them; they will break through and enter and exit the gate; their king will go before them, and the LORD will be at their head.”

That’s all I have to say. Enjoy the drawing and impressions, and the deeper praying about it.
To help me grow, I’d appreciate any feedback (which I’d be happy to publish anonymously on my website, if possible).

Dear Greetings and God's bless
Johannes Spörl

A surprise at the creative workshop at the Methodist Church

Ermutigungstage: Kreativworkshop

I’m really glad that I was able to lead a creative workshop a while back as part of the Encouragement Days at the EMK Erlöserkirche. I had six young participants who created a wide variety of pieces. It was a lot of fun.

I was invited to dinner with everyone. We had a delicious curry with rice. I hadn't originally planned on attending the worship service that evening.

I was especially delighted that I was asked on the spot to create an impromptu prophetic picture for the guest speaker during these days. I was supposed to create it during the worship evening. Now that’s what I call truly spontaneous! So I stayed, and I received an impression relatively quickly. I was able to present the picture to the speaker and pray for him as well.

A Fresh Start in Pictures: A Creative Take on the watchword of the year 2026

In addition to the daily watchwords, Bible verses for each year are selected well in advance. The annual watchword for 2026 is: “Behold, I am making all things new!”

I've created a few different versions. Which one do you like best?

I had the featured image printed as a card. There are only a few copies left. If you're interested, please feel free to contact me.

A striking testimony about the commissioned painting: Light on the Path

Here, I’d like to share with you the valuable feedback I received on this drawing:

“I don’t even know what to say about this picture. It really captures the situation I’m in right now. It completely overwhelmed me.”

Right now, I’m in a situation where I feel exactly as that pit depicts. And sometimes I haven’t seen that light at all. I’ve also been afraid time and again to make decisions, worried that they might be wrong.

This vision is such a powerful source of encouragement for me and for my journey. The accompanying Bible verses have also encouraged me greatly. And I believe once again that Jesus will show me the way through His Word. Thank you so much, dear Johannes, for this wonderful prophetic drawing.

So funny: Drawings from my school days

I’ve been drawing since I was a little kid. At first, it was mostly cartoon series like Wickie, Sinbad, or Captain Future. We also drew biblical stories in religion class. You can already see the influence of Asterix and my sense of humor in those drawings.

I've just uploaded my first drawings to a own gallery. More drawings are coming soon!

Heute mutet mir meine Vorgehensweise seltsam an.
