Prophetic art: Dancing above the clouds (circumstances)

This painting was commissioned by a husband as a birthday present for his wife. While I was working on it, it suddenly took a completely different direction than I had originally intended...

I wrote this to the recipient:

Hello dear [...],

Your husband […] asked me to create a prophetic picture for you. I was to pray for you and then paint what I received from Jesus for you with colored pencils.
Als ich nun für Dich betete, kam sehr schnell der Eindruck, dass Du sehr viele Herausforderungen, Schwierigkeiten und Probleme hast und diese mit Dir herumschleppst. Diese Lasten sind so schwer, dass Du fast an ihnen zerbrichst.

But my impression was that you shouldn't bear these burdens at all, that Jesus wants to take them from you because He already bore them on the cross long ago. You are welcome to give them to Him; He wants to take them from you.

„Cast all your cares on him; for he cares for you.“ 1 Peter 5:7

If you manage to give these burdens to Jesus, it will set you free in such a way that you will feel like you are dancing on clouds. Jesus wants to give you lightness and freedom. Jesus will help you to give this burden to him.

Somehow, this passage from the Song of Songs also came to mind, which for me also expresses this lightness and carefreeness:

„There's my friend's voice! Behold, he comes and hops over the mountains and leaps over the hills.“
Song of Songs 2: 8

Jesus, your beloved, leaps with ease over the mountains and dances with you above the clouds. Jesus wants to dance with you, to give you this lightness...

When I drew the picture, it developed in a completely different direction. Originally, I wanted to depict a beautiful blue sky and some fluffy clouds. Now the picture is full of red tones, which of course also represent the blood of Christ, who gave his life for you, shed his blood so that you could have a fulfilled, abundant life. But I can't shake the suspicion that the picture is also about your own BLOOD, that you may have problems with your blood and bleeding, a very feminine problem. Jesus wants to meet you there too, to heal and free you so that you can dance carefree.

I bless you with this image and these words, I grant you freedom, lightness, and healing.

Since the image turned out surprisingly red, I have the impression that Jesus wants to heal endometriosis through this image. This condition causes very painful tissue to form outside the uterus. If you are affected by this, please reach out for healing so that Jesus can heal you there!

Prophetic art: No condemnation

This prophetic commissioned painting was a birthday gift from a mother to her wonderful daughter.
Here is the text I sent with the painting.

"I prayed and asked Jesus what He would like to say to you. It took a while before I received anything for you. But then, relatively quickly, the Bible verse from Romans 8: 1 came to me:

“There is therefore no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.”

Now the question was how to translate this into an image. It took me a while to figure out how it should look in the picture.

I saw you kneeling in front of a broken mirror, wearing a beautiful white dress. You were surrounded by the shards of destruction. Where the mirror glass had fallen, the words “NO DAMNATION!” were visible. Behind the mirror stood Jesus, looking at you kindly and invitingly. Without accusation or condemnation, but full of love and care.

I think this beautiful dress means that Jesus has redeemed and cleansed you through His blood. He paid a high price so that you can now stand before Him without guilt or shame and enjoy fellowship with Him, because He has cleansed you.

The mirror represents your own expectations and false ideas that you have of yourself and believe you cannot fulfill. You collapsed under your own expectations and could no longer bear your own reflection, so you smashed the mirror in frustration. This revealed the truth that had already been there before: NO DAMNATION!

Jesus does not condemn you, he does not accuse you. All these self-imposed demands and lies fall to the ground:
Nicht genug, nicht heilig genug, nicht schön genug, nicht fleißig genug, zu wenig Bibel gelesen, zu wenig gebetet …

His blood paid the price; He took on the guilt, the punishment you deserved. Whether you are acceptable before Him has nothing to do with you! No matter how much good you have done, no matter how many bad things you have done or how many things you have not done that you should have done—it has absolutely no influence on how much He loves you! It all depends on Him and His work on the cross. He has washed you clean with His blood.

There is nothing the enemy can accuse you of, because Jesus has paid for all your sins! No condemnation for you! Only complete acceptance and love! Feel yourself embraced by His loving arms, full of love, acceptance, and appreciation! Bathe in this truth!

The recipient of the picture was very happy to receive it and cried tears of joy when she saw it. She was particularly moved by the Bible verse because she had previously memorized Romans 8 and thought that she would be a different person and start something new if she could believe in “no condemnation.”

When I told the story behind the picture to a small group of people, a young woman began to cry and explained that she had wanted to jump off a bridge the day before. We were able to pray for her and proclaim life over her!

Prophetische Kunst: Tiefstes Herz

Years ago I had a prophetic impression at the Freaksleitertraining (FLT) in Nuremberg. The picture touched me very much, I drew it again and again and gave it to people who were also very touched by it.

There is a place in our heart that is so deep inside that we can't even get there ourselves, that we don't even want to look at it. We're scared of it because we think it's gross, dirty, and ugly. We are ashamed of it and wonder if God even knows this place.

In diesem Eindruck sah ich diesen Ort in Form einer dunklen Höhle, wo es nur einen ganz kleinen Spalt an die Oberfläche und zum Sonnenlicht gab. Hier drang niemals Licht herein. Nur einmal im Jahr, wenn die Sonne eine ganz bestimmte Position am Himmel hatte, konnte ein Lichtstrahl bis zum Boden herunter dringen. So wie in diesen Kathedralen, wo es ein winziges Loch in der Mauer gibt. Wenn die Sonne richtig steht, wie zur Sonnenwende, würde das Licht da hindurchscheinen auf einen bestimmten markierten Platz am Boden.

Und so drang der Lichtstrahl Gottes an den tiefsten Ort meines Herzens, das normalerweise in tiefster Dunkelheit ist. Doch wider Erwarten war es da nicht eklig, stinkig oder schmutzig. Nein, hier wuchs eine wunderschöne Rose!

God knows the deepest part of your heart where it hurts. And there is beauty! So don't be afraid of this place!

Es gibt noch eine besondere Geschichte zu diesem Bild und der Postkarte dazu. Ich hatte ja erzählt, wie ich dieses Bild immer wieder gezeichnet und Leuten gegeben habe. Ein Grund, warum ich davon eine Postkarte haben drucken lassen, dass ich es nicht immer wieder neu drucken müsste und einfach die Karte weiter geben konnte.

So war ich vor Jahren Teil des Gebetsteams auf dem Freakstock, dem Jesusfestival der Jesus Freaks. In der Ministryzeit sah ich einen Freund auf allen Vieren im Staub vor der Bühne. So kniete ich mich neben ihn und betete für ihn. Am Ende gab ich ihm dann genau diese Postkarte. Ich sah, wie ihn die Postkarte zutiefst ansprach. Er hörte gar nicht zu, wie ich ihm den Eindruck dazu erklären wollte. Offensichtlich sprach sie ihn auf einer ganz anderen Ebene an!

Jahre später, als ich einen Blogeintrag gepostet hatte, in dem ich schrieb, dass ich die Jesus Freaks verlassen würde, hat er mich angeschrieben. Er erzählte, dass er unter Depressionen leide und das nicht behandeln lassen hat. Er überlegte, sich das Leben zu nehmen! Als er die Postkarte sah, bekam er wieder Hoffnung und hat diese Idee wieder verworfen. Ich bin noch heute mit ihm in Kontakt!

Durch diese Postkarte hat Jesus ihm das Leben gerettet!

Prophetic Art: Look into the Light

I used to post my art on my old website, Jocky.de, which wasn't solely dedicated to my art. I now want to gradually post the pictures I posted there back then here:

I was home in Naila over the weekend to celebrate several birthdays. It was the perfect opportunity to paint pictures and hear what Jesus has to say to the birthday children (and to all of us?).

This picture gave me the impression that Jesus is calling us to look away from the darkness that so easily draws our attention (all the negative things, things that go wrong, disappointments, wishes that have not yet been fulfilled...) and to look toward the light, toward Jesus.

We can focus on the good things. On everything that Jesus is and has already done for us, on his nature, his character, his promises, but also on all the good things that have already happened to us, the grace we have been able to experience...

"Those who sacrifice thank-offerings honour me, and to the blameless[ I will show my salvation."
Psalm 50: 23

There is another unusual story related to this picture. At a gathering, a friend purchased an art print of this image and then left it at home. Her daughter, who was 8 years old at the time, had a remarkable experience with the art print. I have permission to share it here:

A short time later, my friend wrote to me and gave me permission to share this testimony.
Folgendes hat sie mir geschrieben:

"My daughter had a healing experience with your picture. I'll quote some of her words: She had “severe stomach pains.” She then discovered your picture and looked at it more closely. Because she liked it, she moved closer and closer. As she looked at it, she experienced that her stomach pains “suddenly disappeared completely.” She thought that was “totally awesome.” And I was happy, hallelujah!"

That alone is remarkable, that God heals through an image without anyone praying for healing. But it goes even further.

So I shared the report card in various Facebook groups and got the expected reactions. Nothing unusual there. But someone asked if it had been my intention to draw an intestine. I was surprised by this question (people see all kinds of things in my pictures that I never intended). Fortunately, I asked her why she was asking that. She replied that it would look exactly like the inside of the intestine and posted a picture of intestinal villi. The resemblance is amazing! I think that's really cool.

Especially since I myself have recurring stomach and intestinal problems and there are also recurring difficulties in this regard within my family.

Ich habe in letzter Zeit einige Bücher veröffentlicht. Vor etlichen Jahren durfte ich bereits einen Roman mit 12 meiner Zeichnungen illustrieren. Das hat mich damals ziemlich herausgefordert. So bin ich sehr froh, dass ich diese Zeichnungen fertigstellen durfte. Besonders bewegend, dass ich die „Kreuzigungsszene“ an einem Karfreitag begonnen habe.

Mein Freund Joe Wittrock hat dieses Buch auf deutsch übersetzt und mich angefragt, ob ich es illustrieren will. Es war immer unklar, ob der Verlag meine Zeichnungen mit in das Buch hineinnehmen würde. Da es den Roman inzwischen auch als kostenlosen Download auf der Verlagsseite gibt, möchte ich euch dieses Buch der Vollständigkeit halber hier auch bei mir anbieten?

Neuer Workshop mit meiner prophetischen Kunst im Juli

Mit großer Freude darf ich meinen neuen Workshop „Prophetische Kunst mit Buntstiften“ bekannt geben. Wie bereits im März werde ich diesen Kurs wieder an 2 Abenden über Zoom anbieten. Es ist also in dem Sinne kein neuer Kurs, da er inhaltlich mit dem im März übereinstimmen wird.

Es sollte für wiederkehrende Teilnehmer, aber trotzdem interessant sein, da die Abende ja auch von den Fragen und der Interaktion untereinander leben. Wenn man das Angebot schonmal wahrgenommen hat, weiß man ja inhaltlich grob schon, wohin es geht und kann sich auf andere Dinge konzentrieren, die man beim ersten Mal vielleicht verpasst hat. Ich gebe 50 % Rabatt für Teilnehmer, die den Kurs schonmal mitgemacht haben.

In diesem Workshop möchte ich euch in meine Entwicklung als Künstler mit hineinnehmen, ich präsentiere euch, wie ich Inspiration für meine prophetische Kunst bekomme und gebe euch einige ergreifende Beispiele, wie Menschen von Gott durch meine Bilder tief berührt wurden. Ich stelle euch meine Materialien vor und zeige euch die Vor- und Nachteile der jeweiligen Produkte. Am zweiten Abend erstellen wir gemeinsam ein Bild, dabei leite ich euch Schritt für Schritt an, wie ihr die Vorlage selbst umsetzen könnt.

Der Workshop wird aufgezeichnet, ihr könnt also den Workshop auch buchen, wenn ihr an einem Abend verhindert sein solltet.

Mein eigener Versuch: Asterix bei den Numidern

Als Teenie war ich ziemlich begeistert von Asterix. Ich liebte den Witz, die herrlichen Abenteuer aber vor allem den tollen ausgefeilten und detailreichen Zeichenstil von Albert Uderzo. Mit meinem Konfirmationsgeld habe ich mir die damals verfügbaren Alben gekauft.

Irgendwann gab es sogar eine Luxusversion. Immer 4 Bände zusammengefasst in einem dicken Buch mit Kunstledereinband. In jedem Band fanden sich Hintergrundinformationen, zusätzliche Comics. Ich musste mein ganzes Taschengeld sparen, damit ich mir den jeweils neuen Band leisten konnte, sobald er herauskam. Als Abschluss gab es ein großes, dickes Buch über die Zeichenkarriere des Künstlers: Uderzo – der weite Weg zu Asterix.

So machte ich mich zusammen mit einem Klassenkameraden an unseren eigenen Asterix. Es flossen viele Karikaturen von Popstars und Schauspielern der Zeit ein. Einige erkenne ich jetzt nicht mehr. Heute mutet mir meine Vorgehensweise seltsam an. Das Titelbild malte ich mit Filzstiften. Die Panels des Comics zeichnete ich in ein leeres DinA5 Notizbuch mit einer Seitenaufteilung, die dem normalen Format der Vorlage nicht entsprach. Immerhin habe ich die Reinzeichnung mit einem Tuschefüller gemacht. Vor ein paar Jahren habe ich die Zeichnungen eingescannt und die Texte der Sprechblasen digital hinzugefügt.

Uderzo: Tolle Asterix Ausstellung in Berlin

Ich bin immer noch geplättet. Ich bin extra aus München angereist, um die Ausstellung „Uderzo – von Asterix bis Zaubertrank“ im Musuem der Kommunikation in Berlin zu besuchen. Albert Uderzo, der großartige Zeichner von Asterix, ist eines der Vorbilder meiner Kindheit. Ich habe als Teenie einmal selbst einen Asterix begonnen (Asterix bei den Numidern). Dazu werde ich einen extra Blogartikel verfassen, damit ihr meine Ergebnisse sehen könnt.

Ich konnte an einer Führung mit dem Kurator Flix (einem wunderbaren Comicautor aus Berlin) teilnehmen. Die Tochter Silvie Uderzo kam nach Berlin und war von der Architektur des Museums beeindruckt. Sie wollte unbedingt, dass in diesem Musuem die Werke ihres Vaters ausgestellt werden, um das Schaffen als vollwertige Kunst zu würdigen.

Der Museumsdirektor hatte gute Kontakte zu Flix und rief ihn an. Der war sofort Feuer und Flamme. Da Silvie merkte, dass es ihm nicht um Geld geht, sonder dass er selbst ein Fan ist, kam so die Zusammenarbeit zustande. Flix hatte die Möglichkeit das Originalatelier von Uderzo zu besuchen und durch die erhaltenen Werke durchzublättern und passende Beispiele für die Ausstellung für den deutschen Markt heraus zu suchen. Wow, wer hat schon die Möglichkeit, das zu Hause seines Helden zu besuchen und in den Originalen zu stöbern… Ein Traum.

Da die Werke nach der Ausstellung erstmal wieder lagern müssen (weil zuviel Licht schädlich für die Zeichnungen und die Papiere ist), kann die Ausstellung erstmal nicht an einem anderem Ort in Deutschland gezeigt werden. Nach ein paar Jahren, ist das aber durchaus möglich.
