Embraced by God's Love (A5 Postcard)

This painting was a commissioned work. While I was praying, I saw the client in the darkness, enveloped by a cloak. Somehow it was very fluid; it could just as easily have been the Blood of Christ. In any case, it expressed how close God is to her, how He surrounds her, how His blood covers and protects her, how the mantle of His love envelops her, how she is hidden in Him, enveloped by Him.

The painting really spoke to her; to her, it was like a hug from God. The day before I started painting it, she had prayed that she longed so much for a hug. And then she saw the first photos of the painting in progress on Instagram and was deeply moved.
