The original of this painting was a birthday present within the family.
In this picture I got the impression that Jesus is asking us to look away from the darkness that so easily draws our attention (all the negative things, things that go wrong, disappointments, wishes that have not yet been fulfilled...) and to look towards the light upon Jesus.
We can focus on the good things. To everything that Jesus is and has already done for us, to his nature, his character, his promises, but also everything good that has already happened to us, the grace that we were allowed to experience...

Some pictures express a very special glow, so that they literally cry out for this to be expressed externally as well. So I've been looking for ways to express that in an affordable way. Light boxes are ideal, but maybe a bit pricey.
