The original of this picture was an commissioned painting. When I prayed for the recipient of the picture, I had the impression that she very often feels alone and believes that she has to go through life alone, that she is dependent on getting everything done on her own. I had the strong impression that Jesus asked me to point out to her that she is not alone. Because He is always near and with her!
I started painting the picture at Pentecost. This is the feast of the Holy Spirit. Before Jesus left, He said:
"It is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Comforter will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you." John 16:7
