You have to see these new ideas!
Hallo Johannes,
there are some encouraging developments that I would very much like to share with you. Let's start straight away.

New art form: 3D pictures
I tried something new with my art to reach other target groups.
In my home in the Franconian Forest (Frankenwald), there is a beautiful, deeply cut V-valley called Höllental (hell valley) with the legendary Hirschsprung (deer jump).
I drew the scenery in different layers to achieve a certain 3D effect. I deliberately left the sky blank and used a frame with a transparent background so that my own sky can shine through.
I'm not quite satisfied yet, because the spatial effect isn't quite there yet. The collage is actually too thick for the frame I'm using.
I will continue to experiment with other solutions and motifs. But for the beginning I am very satisfied and I would like to do more in this direction.

New way to buy my art: subscription of pictures
Customers have repeatedly commissioned me to do paintings for them. Even now, each additional picture is already cheaper than the previous one.
To reward these customers and make it even more attractive, I came up with the idea of a picture subscription:
You agree to subscribe to at least 3 paintings, you decide when you want the next picture, but you take at least one picture a year...

Fineliner drawings can be purchased
I'm known to most people for my expressive colored pencil paintings that I create with my artist's watercolor pencils.
However, growing up, I drew almost exclusively with fineliners, as it was often for programs in my church that were then duplicated with a black and white photocopier. For the first few years I sketched my prophetic pictures during worship with fineliners until I switched to colored pencils in 2015.
Since Facebook keeps showing you reminders of what was published the same day years ago, I got interested in line art again because I was shown the drawings from my younger days. In a zoom call earlier this month of my mentoring program, Jesus kept reminding us of our art from before and leading us back there.
When I reordered my artists' watercolor pencils a while ago, I took a pack of special fineliners with me right away. Since then, pictures in black and white have been created time and again, which have their very own charm.
Some of these drawings are now available in my shop. More will follow. ► click

Minz - All copies of the Easter picture book sold
A few years ago I illustrated a picture book in full color. A friend from Austria wrote the text. The story is about how the Easter Bunny meets Jesus.
|
|
|
We financed the whole thing through crowdfunding after no publisher wanted to publish the story. The book was published at Easter 2017.
Through the years of the pandemic, sales have been very limited. So I'm very happy that I was able to sell all the copies I had in stock this year. There are still a few shops that still keep our books. Till now I have no information about how many books are still available from the author in Austria.
It looks like there will be no new edition (it is only available in German).

I'm very happy that this chapter is now closed for the time being. So it's time for a new picture book. The idea already exists, but I have to overcome a few hurdles to implement it.

Prayer
Since it is currently very challenging with my art, new data protection regulations and copyrights have to be observed, I ask you especially for prayer today:
-
Pray for ideas on how and where to sell my art
-
Ideas for art that sells and continues to touch people
-
Wisdom in dealing with the privacy regulations and copyrights for my homepages, social media and videos
-
Ideas and wisdom for the implementation of book projects
-
Focus on the things that are to come
